The 2021er Trittenheimer Apotheke Devon-Terrassen GG, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, is made from fruit picked on 60-100- year-old vines in the prime terraced part of Vogelsang and the Kaulsbohr sectors on the main hill and was fermented and aged in a mix of cask and stainless-steel tank. It has a gorgeously aromatic yet refined nose of almond, yellow flowers, mint, candied ginger, and earthy spices. The wine develops both great freshness and presence on the palate, where zesty elements are wrapped into minty herbs and minerals. The finish is still very tight and but already delivers magnificent length and purity in a bone-dry style. There is also a hint of tartness in need of integration, something which will be done in a few years’ time. 2025-2036+
